Day 3: Favourite food!

I got lazy. I admit it. But hey, I do love candy. Yum

Not much else to say about to say about that!

CANDY!

Challenge Day 2: Favourite animal!

This is a cat. Specifically, my boyfriend's cat.

He is morbidly obese and wears a top hat. And no, I am not even joking, here:

OKAY. So MAYBE I had my boyfriend photoshop a top hat on him! But I swear, he is that fat. He's the most cutest piece of kitty happiness I know though! He loves my things. He always sits on my shoes! I don't know what it is with my feet, but he's used to me by now so I'm pretty sure he's not trying to mark his scent on them by rubbing his face. BUT HE LOVES MY SHOES AND OTHER THINGS.

Dangit, Mr Thomas! I need to get home!!!!

So yeah. Boyfriend's cat is awesome. And huuuuuge! KITTY!

30 day drawing challenge! This is day 1: self-portrait! My hair is real short, you see I shaved it off at the Relay for Life. I understand now that being a cancer patient must seriously undermine one's self-esteem if one isn't used to weird stares from angry old ladies (seriously, they're always mad at me!).

I've started it a few days back, but I didn't really think of blogging it! So I guess I will! So I signed my name on this one, but not on the others...because apparently I think this one's worth something and the others aren't? I don't know XD

However, overall I'm pretty happy with this drawing, it actually really looks like me doing that scary face. That face says I munna getchu. I munna getchu, folks. Haha. Okay, no, not really. Please don't sue.

I've been watching a lot of OOG. Double oh gee. Yeah. You know the stuff. I've been ridiculously late on all the Mindcrack things going on. I know everyone playing and I know what they look like, but finding the time to listen to them...oof. Thing is, I am more of a visual person, so it's distracting to not look at the screen, and I don't get what's going on. DANGIT.

Maybe I'll start a let's play too. Have some sort of crazy thing going on. Probably a build world. Heheheheheheheh.

Anyways, I'll let you all know if I do decide to do it!

See y'all

New little project of mine.

Hello, everyone! I have started making these pouches for friends, but today I made two random ones. And, I guess I'll share them with you:

Here they all, the little cuties! Tell me what you think about them, and which Pokémon you'd like to see next! (I shoulda made a Charmander too...but I lacked orange :(  )

Sailor Dark Side of the Moon

There she is! I am done with this one! What do ya think? Yeah, I know my shading could use TONS of work...and that it's very immature-looking, but hey good news: I fixed my tablet!

The settings were off, and it was in a really weird place that I wouldn't think of checking. So hopefully my stuff gets better!

But yeah, there she is. I hope y'all like it! I'll create fellow Senshi for her!

Toodles!

Phone pouch!

Hello all! I haven't been acting on my New Year's resolution at all...Sorry!

Let me make it up to you with my first actual awesome tutorial! Yay!!

Soooo. As mentioned in the title, I will teach you all how to make a pouch for your phone. It's really simple, you'll see. Here's what you will need:

-About a square foot of cotton
-The same amount of felt
-Matching thread
-Basic sewing supplies (scissors, needles, etc.)

First and foremost, measure out your phone. I am making this pouch for someone else, so I'll be using my ID instead.

Her phone was about 1 and 1/2 of my ID's height, and a little bit wider, so I am giving myself a big seam allowance. Also, you want the cotton part to be a little bit bigger, so don't be afraid to cut your pieces about an inch bigger than it needs to be.

Cut this piece x 2.

Afterwards, take one of those pieces and pin it to the fabric about an inch from the edge.

Then, cut a semi-circle. That will be the flap.

Ok. You've got your outside part. Now, pin one of the rectangular pieces to the felt and cut it. Then cut half an inch off of one side like so:

Cut 2 of those.

Afterwards, pin the semicircle onto the felt and make a smaller version of it!

Alright. Now, let's start sewing!

Take one piece of the cotton and one of the felt, pin them together RIGHT sides (aka the side that will be outside) facing each other and start sewing! I'm sewing mine by hand

Leave a significant strip of fabric on one of the short ends. You'll see why.

There we go! Ok, now fold over that little flap and slip stitch (sew into the folded bit) the piece shut!

Do both rectangles, and it will look like this:

Beautiful! Ok, now let's sew our flap on: Pin the cotton and felt together, again RIGHT sides facing each other!

Then let's sew it together (don't worry about the bottom part):

Let's pin those two rectangles together now!

Now sew them together. Please leave about an inch on either side! Then, pin the flap RIGHT sides together and sew like this:

Nearly done! You can either cut a hole for a button into the flap, or you can do what I did. So far, it should look like this:

Ok, what I did is this: I put a knot at the ends of 3 pieces of embroidery floss and sewed them into the flap, then I braided them like so:

Then  I sewed a little piece of fabric I folded in the shape of a marshmallow onto the pouch itself...

And tah-dah! Phone pouch!

The friend I made this for loved it! I tried it on a couple phones, including my tiny LG Rumour and my friend's big Blackberry, so if you keep to my method of using my student ID (any plastic card thing would do I presume), you should be able to fit pretty much any phone into it! Yay!

Let me know what you think :)

A current work in progress

Hello, all!

I've had this really crazy idea. Lately, I've been pretty obsessive about 2 things, Sailor Moon and Pink Floyd. So I thought of something insane. Some may hate me for it, some may love this incredibly weird creature... It is just a sketch, so I apologize for the raw nature of it.

SAILOR DARK SIDE OF THE MOON!!!! I made her to look a lot like Pluto and Saturn, because I think Dark Side would have a very distant attitude, not to mention an affinity for sound, since I am basing it on an album where there's quite the variety in different sounds. I think one of her attacks has to be based on the green pulse line thing, and others, of course, on songs or even just lyrics. I can work something out. I also just HAPPEN to have taken Japanese classes for the past 2 years...SO I can work out writing the attacks in Katakana :D I'll update this post once I make progress. Hehe. GET IT? PROGRESS. PROGRESSIVE ROCK *snorting laugh*

Ok...bye bye!

**UPDATE**

Now here's her with a very flat look, which I plan to remedy to. I like having this flat look at first so I can have a good idea. There is, however a problem with my tablet, so I can't adjust it so it works with pressure, which makes me sad. I can with hope remedy to this eventually, but got now I'll have to deal with the way it looks. Besides, this won't be the first Sailor Dark Side of the Moon. I plan on having an army of Senshi based on Pink Floyd albums. Dark Side being seemingly one of the more famous ones, I started on that one.

I was trying to stay away from a too Saturn-y colour scheme...I think this works. See you at the next update! (I'll post a different entry when I get to the end of this ^^)

Shaded in the skin...I know, I'm not very good at this. Shut up >< NYAH. I'm practising. I'll get better eventually, then look back on this with shame. But to my taste, I thought it looked good.

Hallo everyone! Short post!

I haven't ever been really good at making at making plushies. But I fixed a cute little monkey plush with a tux and then I wanted to make some!

So my first attempt:

Here's the little guy! This was for a friend.

I also made a Ducky Momo for another friend! If you have any suggestions or want one, please let me know! I'll eventually get a PayPal account or Etsy store.

Thanks a bunch and see you soon!

Stumbleupon...Oh, what you've done to me!

So like any self-respecting university student with lots of assignments and essays and exams...I love to waste time. Therefore, STUMBLEUPON.

I haven't got any big projects started yet, so what I'll do is show you stuff I freakin' adore. Not going to lie, I was a goth in high school...and I hid this passion I had for fashion and girly things throughout. Well, now the internet shall know! I need to get it out! Without further ado, let me start geeking out on clothes!!!!

OH! And if you know who made these dresses, I'd be more than happy to post it here! I know some of the websites have sources to who made them, but if you or a friend want their names on here, no problem!

Ok, dresses for realsies:

Oh my gosh...yes....YES. YES!!!!!.

I want this dress so badly...This is a Christian Dior dress, and it's in A FREAKIN' MUSEUM (Metropolitan Museum of Art). I wish I could wear it! I just adore the gorgeous waist, and the way it flows, the length, it is a true piece of ART. I found this here, and I squealed when I saw it. Just...wow. WOOOW.

I can only hope that someday, I might be able to sew such a masterpiece...

Adorable.

This dress is made from recycled children's books! DYI, FTW!! There is only one face I can make that describes what I feel.....

I love this rage face.
.
I love Smosh. And if you're ever been on their website...well...you know about the Smosh Pit. It's just all sorts of awesome in there. A while back...they had this list up. I think it's pretty clear by now that I freakin' adore dresses. More than is probably healthy.

Well, here goes nothing (watch out, it's squee-worthy...)

So much win...HOLY SMOKES BATMAN. THIS DRESS OWNS.

OHMIGOSH. SO inventive...

OMG. OH my...nostalgia kicking in...

Joker??? YES PLEASE.

I don't know when...I don't know how, but I know something starting right now...I WANT THAT DRESS.

SQUEE LEVELS...HIGH....MUST...RESIST...SQUEALING...(Nightmare Before Xmas was my favorite movie as a child...it explains my weakness for gothic things ^^)

Personally, and the good ladies of Vanier Hall will agree with me, I think someone here at my university (maybe me...) should make this for our ABC+C party...(anything but clothes and cups party for those who don't know)

SONIC. SONIIIIIIIIC. AND IT'S THE CUTE, OLD CHUBBY ONE TOO! AGH! SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Star Wars. And 3D glasses. F*CK YEAH.

Old school Zelda. Old school Mario. 'Nuff said.

This dress can pretty nearly pass as a Sweet Lolita dress, which is already awesome as it is, BUT ADDING GIR MAKES IT INFINITELY BETTER!!!

THESE DRESSES. WOW. Those are my personal favorites, but you can see the rest on here.

Ladies and/or gents, you are all very talented. My goodness...I need to lie down. My squee-levels are WAY off the charts.

I love fashion inspirations. Those little sets that look like a character...

This website College Fashion... they made it SO much awesomer. I'll post their ensembles, and try to guess!

Who could this be?

Huh?? HUH?? WHO??

Real tough one here, amiright?

:D

SO, did you guess them all? If you haven't, here's the answers!

Now if you didn't guess right, DON'T YOU AGREE THAT THESE FIT PERFECTLY?

GOSH. Especially the Midna one! Like, I love it! The best part is that if you want to look like a character but aren't a fan of cosplay, you have this little subtle way of doing it! I personally LOVE cosplaying, Halloween is my favorite holiday. But it isn't for every day, so this is a great alternative.

They even post links (heheh...) to where you can get the items (bwahahaha XD) of clothing!

Ain't nothing like gettin' yourself a new tunic...

And oh my gosh, they did it for cartoon characters too!

So, since this post was pretty lengthy, I'll leave you with that. Sorry for taking you on an epic journey to clothing awesomeness. But, now you have a pretty good idea of what I'll post. NYAH.

NYAAAAAAAAH!
